We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate processing of payroll and financial transactions while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of payroll systems, accounting fundamentals, and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
• Process weekly and biweekly payrolls using a third-party vendor, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconcile timesheet reports with payroll registers to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage employee deductions, garnishments, and vendor payments within the payroll system.
• Prepare and record financial transactions, including bank deposits, general ledger postings, and cash transfers.
• Conduct month-end reconciliations for payroll and bank accounts, maintaining accurate records.
• Create, maintain, and update Excel spreadsheets to support reconciliations and reporting.
• Generate and submit payroll-related reports for accounting and human resources departments.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and best practices while maintaining confidentiality.
• Assist with audits and provide support for additional tasks within the accounting department.
• Oversee time and labor responsibilities, including employee updates and benefit reconciliations.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong analytical skills.
• Experience working with payroll software such as Kronos Workforce Ready or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with financial and banking software for posting and reconciling transactions.
• Solid understanding of payroll processes and best practices, including relevant laws and regulations.
• Ability to create reports using reporting software and analyze financial data.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Previous experience in full-cycle payroll processing, including managing garnishments.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail in all payroll-related tasks.
