We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Import Manager to oversee and manage all international import activities to North America, based at our Tulsa, Oklahoma location. The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of experience in global logistics, customs compliance, and freight forwarding. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods across borders while maintaining full compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire import process, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs laws.
• Collaborate with internal team in US & China to manage and monitor all import operations including documentation, customs clearance, carrier coordination, and final delivery.
• Monitor and track import shipments, resolving any delays, discrepancies, or issues that arise during transit.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, sales, warehouse, brand, and accounting teams.
• Develop, monitor, and report on KPIs related to shipment costs, transit times, and compliance issues.
• Analyze import data and logistics performance to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Stay updated on changes in import tariffs, trade agreements, international trade regulations, classifications (HTS codes), and global logistics trends to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
• Review and manage classifications (HTS codes) of current product portfolio.
• Resolve delays or issues related to customs clearance or shipping disruptions.
• Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to optimize costs and service levels.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or related field preferred.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in import management or international logistics.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. import laws, customs compliance, Incoterms, and HTS classification.
• Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems and import tracking tools a plus.
• Excellent organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Licensed Customs Broker is a plus but not required.
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess interpersonal and facilitation skills.
• Fishing or Outdoor Industry experience preferred.
